Please read before using HairJot
These Terms are written to make the service, your controls, and your responsibilities easy to understand. Keep your client records private and review AI-organized information before you rely on it.
1. Purpose and eligibility
HairJot is a private professional working journal for hairstylists and other hair professionals. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
These Terms explain the current service, billing arrangements, account responsibilities, saved records, AI-assisted tools, and the limits that apply when you use HairJot.
2. Your account and sign-in details
Provide accurate, current account information and update it when it changes. Protect your login credentials and do not share access in a way that could expose your account or another person's information.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for telling HairJot Support if you believe someone has accessed it without permission.
3. Trial, plans, and automatic renewal
The current trial provides 14 days of full access. A payment method is required to begin the trial. The paid plan you select begins automatically after the trial unless you cancel before the trial-ending date.
Individual Monthly is $14.99 per month. Individual Annual is $149 per year. Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected billing interval until canceled. The plan and price shown at checkout control the purchase you make.
4. Billing and cancellation
Manage billing, payment details, and cancellation through the visible Billing and Manage billing path in your account. That path opens the available Stripe billing management experience.
Cancellation prevents the next renewal charge. Access may continue through a period that has already started. Paid fees are nonrefundable except when a refund is required by law.
5. Your records and client information
You retain ownership of the notes, formulas, photographs, service histories, preferences, plans, and other information you create or choose to save in HairJot. HairJot receives only the limited permission needed to host, process, organize, display, and provide that saved content to you.
You are responsible for the content you enter, its accuracy, and your permission to use it. Before entering client information or uploading client photographs, you must have the client's permission or another lawful basis that allows you to do so.
6. A private professional journal
HairJot is a private professional working journal. It is not a medical service, diagnostic service, legal service, or automatic professional decision-maker. Private records are designed for your account and your work.
You remain responsible for professional judgment, client consultation, manufacturer instructions, patch tests, strand tests, safety procedures, and in-person assessment. Use HairJot alongside the training and safety practices required for your work.
7. AI-assisted organization and Super Hair Agent
AI-organized notes are editable drafts. Review names, dates, formulas, service details, observations, and future-service plans before saving them or relying on them. Correct or remove anything that is incomplete or inaccurate.
The Super Hair Agent helps you find, summarize, and compare information you already saved in your private journal. It may be incomplete or inaccurate, and it does not make the final professional decision. You remain responsible for checking the source records and deciding what to do.
8. Acceptable use
Use HairJot lawfully and respect the privacy, rights, and security of other people and the service. You may not:
- access an account, record, system, or feature without authorization;
- upload harmful code, interfere with the service, or create a security risk;
- use HairJot for unlawful activity or misuse client information;
- infringe another person's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights;
- scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or attempt to discover or reproduce protected parts of the service;
- bypass service limits, payment controls, access controls, or security measures; or
- use the service in a way that materially harms HairJot or its users.
9. Third-party services
HairJot may use third-party providers for authentication, hosting, payment processing, transcription, AI-assisted features, analytics, security, and support. Those providers may process information only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the related HairJot service.
A provider may have its own terms, privacy practices, limits, or outages. HairJot may change providers when needed to operate the service, and a provider change may affect a related feature.
10. Availability and warranty limits
HairJot may be unavailable or changed because of maintenance, updates, connectivity, provider issues, security work, or circumstances outside HairJot's control. Features, limits, and access may change as the service develops.
To the extent permitted by law, HairJot is provided as available, without a promise that it will always be available, accurate, secure, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. This includes AI-assisted organization, search, and Super Hair Agent results.
To the extent permitted by law, HairJot and the operator will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for lost profits, business, goodwill, or data arising from or related to use of the service. Rights and responsibilities that cannot legally be waived remain in place.
11. Suspension, termination, and saved work
HairJot may suspend or end access for nonpayment, unlawful activity, security risks, abuse, violations of these Terms, or legal compliance. You may stop using HairJot and cancel a plan through the available account billing controls.
After cancellation or loss of paid access, saved client records and HairJots remain available in read-only mode, with an available export path, unless the account or its data is deleted. Account or data deletion requests may be submitted through HairJot Support. Deletion requests will be handled in accordance with applicable law. HairJot may retain limited information when reasonably necessary for billing records, security, fraud prevention, disputes, legal compliance, or backup restoration.
12. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Michigan and applicable United States law, without removing rights that cannot legally be waived.
Material changes to these Terms will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use after the updated date may mean you accept the revised Terms where the law allows. If you do not agree, stop using the service and cancel through the available billing controls.
13. Questions and legal notices
Direct all account, billing, legal, privacy, data-export, deletion, and Terms questions and legal notices to the existing Support page at /support. The Support page is the official contact channel for The HairJot Journal.
The HairJot Journal is operated by Lavelle VanHorn in Michigan, United States. Effective date: September 3, 2026.
